This story recognizes a member of the Hagerstown Church of the Brethren who donated blood for a transfusion the doctors had given me right after my birth. Several years before I was born, my parents had a still_born girl. I’ve sometimes wondered, if their second child had lived, would I even have my “wonderful life.”
